Big 12 has a Big Night – OOH by Translation Marks the Moment

With BYU’s AJ Dybantsa and Kansas U’s Darryn Peterson selected as the top two picks by the Washington Wizards and Utah Jazz on the opening night of the 2026 NBA Draft, the Big 12 had the first two overall selections in an NBA draft for the first time in Conference history. To celebrate the moment, the Big 12 unveiled an out-of-home campaign from Translation with a series of mobile billboards that note: “1 & 2? That’s 12.” featuring the Big 12’s XII roman numeral logo.

Overall, the Big 12 Conference posted a historic night at the 2026 NBA Draft with a Conference-record nine first-round picks. The nine selections in the first round were the third most by any conference in NBA Draft history.

In addition to the mobile billboards, the League also placed out-of-home billboards around the Barclays Center in advance of the Draft, featuring photography of Big 12 hardwood courts and the headline “The Court That Makes Kings.” The line also appeared on a fleet of mobile billboard trucks that circled the Brooklyn neighborhood, with the signs being switched out to the 1 & 2 billboards after Dybantsa and Peterson were selected.
