On March 8, “the biggest small agency in the world” is changing its name to Barrett Hofherr.
The past two years have entailed massive growth for Barrett—the biggest in the advertising agency’s 10-year history. President Jamie Barrett says the addition of Matt Hofherr as partner and chief strategy officer in 2021 and an expanded leadership team have played a major role in that growth. The name change honors Hofherr and reflects the shop’s continued evolution and expansion as a creative company.
“Matt is not only a longtime friend—he’s also the best business and strategic mind I’ve come across in my years in advertising,” said Jamie Barrett, founder and ECD. “He’s also a leader with a true vision for what modern brands need and what our agency can deliver. This simply formalizes what we already have, which is an amazing partnership.”
Along with the name, Barrett Hofherr is getting a new design treatment. The agency is announcing its debut with a bold and colorful new look.
“I had a feeling this place was poised for big things when I joined,” Hofherr said. “The leadership here is amazing. It starts with Jamie, but the entire leadership team deserves a shout out—from Marisa to Robert to Charlotte to Connor to Todd to Amie to Kevin to Brad to Molly . I love this place.”
Current clients include Activision/Blizzard, Chime, eBay, MIXT, Twilio, Meta, World Market, and more.
Barrett Hofherr is a proud member of thenetworkone, the world’s largest network of independent advertising, PR, media, digital, events, branding and design agencies. At the start of this year, the network named Barrett Hofherr one of “The World’s Leading Independent Agencies.”
