We Are Social, the socially-led creative agency, has appointed Amy Conner as Head of Studios in the UK.
Conner will oversee the agency’s production arm, We Are Social Studios, working with clients such as Carlsberg, Chase and Lucozade to champion creative excellence in social-first production.
Conner’s experience spans digital, branded, social-first and broadcast content. She was previously Production Director at JustSo. Here, she worked with brands such as Lego Group, Disney and P&G, with notable projects including Disney’s original branded content documentary series for YouTube, “Mapping the Magic”.
Prior to this, she was Head of Commercial Production at Vice, where she assembled and led production and post-production teams and worked with brands such as Coca-Cola, Amex, Garnier, adidas and Logitech. Before Vice, Conner was Production Executive at Lonelyleap, producing documentaries and brand films for the likes of BBC, CNN, Google, Nokia, and The National Trust. She also served almost seven years as Production Manager at sports marketing agency IMG.
Conner will report to the agency’s Managing Director, Lucy Doubleday.
Conner commented: “We Are Social Studios is uniquely positioned to set the standard for social-first production. We have ambitions to raise the bar for creativity, crafting content people want to share and engage with time and again. The great thing about being under the same roof as so many social enthusiasts is the opportunity to collaborate to create fresh, relevant and impactful work, by staying ahead of – and setting – cultural, social and filmmaking trends. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and making content worth talking about.”
Lucy Doubleday, Managing Director at We Are Social said: “Amy understands that social-first production needs to be held to the highest creative and executional standards. She’s a proven leader – someone who can build a team capable of delivering great things – while working with empathy and positivity. We’re delighted to have her on board to take We Are Social Studios to the next level.”
