Jason Wu x ELOQUII Exclusive Holiday Collection Debuts Launch Film Directed by ArtClass’ Vincent Peone

ELOQUII launches its exclusive collection of holiday dresses and separates with designer Jason Wu. In tandem with the collection launch, the brand, a trend-driven retailer for sizes 14+, and noted designer debuts their holiday campaign video. Directed by Vincent Peone, the film features model and body activist Paloma Elsesser.

Under the direction of Vogue’s “73 Questions” writer/director Vincent Peone, the Jason Wu x ELOQUII Holiday Campaign was shot on a gloomy New York evening within the stylish Bowery Hotel. The campaign opens with Paloma strutting the New York streets in the Tuxedo Coat to then entering the Hotel, sporting the Tulle Midi. The outfit looks continue to change throughout the introduction of each scene to when Elsesser finally meets Jason at reception wearing the One Shoulder Wrap Skirt Sheath Dress. The short film wraps with Wu and Elsesser walking arm in arm for a night out with the designer!

The campaign’s step has plenty of pep in the hands of Peone, who surpassed the traditional role of the director by overseeing the creative development of the film. Peone wrote and developed the treatment, crafting a celebratory moment to mark Wu’s first dedicated plus-size collection. The visuals move and sway, the shots have incredible life as they pulse along with the music. Produced by ArtClass in New York, the production company carried it through from conception to post production, with editor James Lee expertly weaving the transitions together, dazzling the eye with an array of ingenious shots and perspectives.

Launching on ELOQUII.com and in select ELOQUII locations, the Jason Wu x ELOQUII collection celebrates classic glamour with its chic and sophisticated tone, while presenting a modern twist to timeless silhouettes. Standouts from the collections include the Tuxedo Coat ($260), the Embellished Asymmetrical A-Line Dress ($190), One-Shoulder Wrap Skirt Sheath Dress ($129) and the Crepe Back Satin Tuxedo Jacket ($120) with coordinating Pant ($90).
