Social Chain Group, made up from social first marketing agency Social Chain, and social media publishing house Media Chain, has announced the appointment of Oliver Yonchev as Managing Director for The Social Chain Group’s North American Operation.
Social Chain Group’s North American operation has had phenomenal growth in 2018, achieving a 900% Year on Year revenue increase. This success has primarily been driven by European based brands such as Superdry, Pretty Little Thing, and Simply Be partnering with Social Chain to deliver their US social strategies. Other notable clients which the US leg of the Social Chain Group currently holds include Boohoo, Grenade, Nasty Gal, and Brita to name a few. As Managing Director, Oliver will oversee the development of The Social Chain Group’s North American operations, spearheading the companies plans to open three additional US offices across LA, San Francisco, and Chicago whilst leading the New York headquarters.
Previously Global Business Director at Social Chain, Oliver was responsible for the commercial growth of the agency, while overseeing the Client Service and Project Delivery departments in the UK. Under Yonchev’s leadership, the agency achieved consecutive 100% Year On Year growth. On top of this, Yonchev was instrumental to the execution of global social and creative strategies for some of Social Chain UK’s biggest brands, including Amazon, Coca-Cola, FIFA, Warner and many more.
