Saatchi & Saatchi London and Direct Line Insurance have launched a festive campaign that offers Londoners free Christmas turkey protection. The product is the first of its kind, offering home chefs protecting against a ruined bird – for free.
Direct Line’s Christmas turkey-mergency service is designed to rescue people from turkey related disasters this Christmas Day, by delivering a ready-to-eat substitute straight to homes in the London area. The service covers any turkey-based mishaps including burnt, dropped, dry, raw and pet-eaten turkeys.
To qualify, people need simply to sign up for the service here. Direct Line’s Christmas Turkey Team will also be advertising the service directly on turkeys at farmers markets and butchers in South London.
With professional chefs cooking up a storm in the Direct Line kitchens in South London, replacement turkeys will be ethically sourced from a local organic supplier and delivered within an hour of being cooked.
Alternatively, people can tweet their disaster on the day to @DirectLine_UK using the hashtag #merryfixmas.
The operation will be filmed on Christmas day, content released on Direct Line’s social channels at the end of December.
