Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express named as partners to Absolute Radio Live in aid of Stand Up To Cancer

Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express have partnered with Absolute Radio to support radio’s biggest ever comedy night: Absolute Radio Live with Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express, in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, in a brand awareness campaign seeking to ‘reconnect the nation’ and champion real-life meet-ups for friends, family and colleagues across the country. As well as supporting the event, the hotel group will be making a generous donation to Stand Up To Cancer.

The campaign aims to engage with a valuable audience of 25-44 year olds who, in a world increasingly powered by social media, feel more disconnected from their friends with 84% reporting that social media is no substitute for connecting in real life (Bauer Insiders, Age of Acceleration 2018) – positioning Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express as the champions of ‘real human connection’.

The partnership will bring this ‘real human connection’ to life through one of Absolute Radio’s flagship experiential events as Absolute Radio Live is set to take over the London Palladium once again on 24th November, 2019. The night will feature some of the UK’s brightest comedic stars including Dara O’Briain, Jo Brand, Tom Allen and hosted by Frank Skinner.

In addition to headline sponsorship for Absolute Radio Live with Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express, in aid of Stand Up To Cancer, the commercial partnership will see activity across radio and online on Magic Radio, Hits Radio and heat radio through credits, spotlights, presenter live reads and a chance for audiences to win a trip to a Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express to re-connect with a loved one.

Holiday Inn & Holiday Inn Express with Absolute Radio, will be showcasing some of Stand Up To Cancer’s valuable work as part of the campaign. The push, brokered by Mindshare, runs from 2nd September to 24th November.
