Chase expands ITV football sponsorship to add Lionesses coverage until 2028

  • Chase is now the sole sponsor of ITV’s coverage of both Senior England Women’s and Men’s football until 2028
  • Chase is expanding its sponsorship coverage as the popularity of Women’s football continues to grow
  • The sponsorship of Senior England Women’s football kicks-off on 9th October with England v Greece
  • Chase is the Official Banking Partner of the Home Nations Football Associations

As interest in Women’s football continues to grow, Chase is expanding its existing partnership with ITV to include Senior England Women’s matches until 2028, alongside its sponsorship of the Senior England Men’s coverage. Chase first began sponsoring ITV’s coverage of Senior England Men’s coverage in 2025.

All games will be broadcast live and free to air on ITV1, ITV4, ITVX, STV and STV Player.

A study by YouGov found that nearly a third (31%) of English adults said they were more interested in Women’s football, an increase of 17%, after the Lionesses were crowned champions at the 2025 Euros*, and a peak audience of 16.2 million people watched the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 Final across the ITV and BBC last year**.

The sponsorship includes TV, digital and social media, and will feature a 10-second intro either side of the centre break, and a 10-second closing ident at the end of the coverage including 10 second bumpers across streaming content on ITVX and STV websites, mobile app and connected TVs.

WPP Media was responsible for creative strategy and execution, as well as sponsorship management, media planning and buying.

The creative focus around the Chase idents is recreating iconic goals of the past across England Men’s and Women’s teams, such as Geoff Hurst’ famous goal for England in the 120th minute against Germany in 1966, and Beth Mead’s goal in the 34th minute against Norway during a historic 8-0 win  at the Women’s Euros in 2022.

This sponsorship further builds on Chase’s continued role as the Official Banking Partner of the Home Nations Football Associations, and its commitment to supporting communities through football. At the heart of its partnership is the Chase football coaching programme which provides fully-funded grassroots and professional coaching bursaries for individuals where cost is a barrier across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. Since its launch, 7,000 qualifications have been funded, and 5,000 coaching qualifications have been completed via the Chase programme.

Anna Bentham, Marketing Director at Chase, commented, “Women’s football continues to attract bigger audiences and inspire the next generation of players and coaches. By expanding our ITV partnership, we can build on our wider support for football and connect with millions of fans across both the Men’s and Women’s game.”

Bhavit Chandari, Director of BE Studio at ITV, added: “We’re really pleased to be continuing our work with Chase as they take this step into women’s football. Women’s sport is delivering some of the biggest, most engaged TV and media moments right now, making it a natural space for Chase to connect with fans. It’s a great example of how Be Studio helps brands build real, lasting connections with growing audiences.”

Andrew Gifford, VP – Sports & Entertainment – Project Delivery at WPP Media said: “We’re proud to support Chase as it expands its partnership with ITV to include both the Men’s and Women’s international game. Women’s football continues to attract new audiences and create powerful shared moments for fans, making this a natural next step in Chase’s support for the game at every level. The creative celebrates some of the most iconic goals in England’s history, tapping into the pride, passion and joy that make live football such a unique experience.”
