Sporting Connect Launches Mobile App

Sporting Connect is celebrating reaching the 1000 members-mark with the release of its brand new mobile app for iPhone and Android devices.

The App is completely free and is the beginning of a whole new mobile era for the online football community, which aims to connect all aspects of the game including coaches, players, referees, clubs, leagues and schools.

Having reached the 1000 members-mark just this month, the launch of the new app aims to improve accessibility so that members can make new football connections wherever they are.

The new app gives you one touch access to your entire profile, including the ability to edit your info on the road. You also have full access to your messages and both the Sporting Connect live feed and search functions to find a coach, player or ref even when you’re standing out on the pitch!

Of the new mobile app, Sporting Connect founder Rob Lovesey said:

“It’s great news for our members. We’ve had a great response since launching the website early last year, and this is the next step towards further improving opportunity, access and awareness within the game”.

On the Sporting Connect site, any one of the aforementioned parties can set up a simple profile that is absolutely free; advertising themselves, their goals, their qualifications and their experience, and begin to network with others in the same way you would do on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn.

Sporting Connect aims to incorporate the successes of all three of these social networks by also providing Twitter-like news feeds, status updates, profile embellishment and the opportunity to provide references for and from others.

Having already developed a network of over 1,000 members, including over 550 coaches, many have found work via connections they have made through Sporting Connect.
