The O2 has unveiled a photo booth at its London arena which it hopes will make events more shareable across social media.
Created out of a partnership with R/GA London, the photo booth takes multiple shots of fans and produces a unique, highly shareable, animation.
Each animation is instantly sent to fansâ mobiles to be viewed and shared at the venue, while also being added to O2âs dedicated YouTube channel.
In the same vein as services like Storify, the O2 channel then aggregates all clips from the photo booth as well comments and images from Twitter and Instagram to create a board of content from the event that day.
R/GA London creative director, Chris Williams, explained: “We’ve created a unique shareable experience that captures the energy from every event held at The O2, one of the UK’s largest entertainment venues. Content is sent directly to fans mobiles and to The O2’s You Tube channel enabling fans to re-live the moment with friends.â
The activity kicked off in mid-December with the Boyzone concert.
