Microsoft and Droga5, part of Accenture Song, are blurring the line between study and play in a new Windows campaign for college students, led by the hero film “Doppelmode.” Built around the idea “Two Worlds. One Machine.” The work brings to life how today’s students can seamlessly move between productivity and play on a Windows 11 PC.
It marks Droga5’s first campaign for Windows and was developed in close collaboration with Microsoft’s in-house creative team.
The campaign promotes the Microsoft College Offer: with the purchase of an eligible Windows 11 PC, college students get one year of Microsoft 365 Premium, one year of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and a custom Xbox Wireless Controller, find more information here.
Two Worlds. One Machine.
For today’s students, school life and personal life are not separate. They move fluidly between both, even if it means switching devices. “Doppelmode” presents a simpler solution: a Windows 11 PC that keeps both sides in sync.

The Creative Work (25 Sets of Twins?!)
Directed by Mackenzie Sheppard of ProdCo, “Doppelmode” was shot entirely in-camera and features 25 sets of identical twins whose performances create the illusion of dual identities through choreography and timing alone.
Set inside a silent college library, the film follows students as their playful doubles suddenly appear, stealing laptops, switching windows, grabbing controllers, and turning study time into a synchronized system of study and play. What begins as chaos evolves into choreography, with students and their doubles moving in sync between resumes, presentations, video games, and creative apps.
It’s backed by “Play Me” from Fcukers, a rising New York electronic duo whose driving, hook-led sound gives the film its pulse, pushing the shift from chaos into choreography.

The campaign will roll out across video, social, creator content, and retail media, reaching students across the platforms they use most.
Droga5’s first work with Windows builds on a broader relationship between the agency and Microsoft, including recent campaigns for Xbox (“Wake Up”, “Dancing in the Dark”) and Microsoft Copilot (“AI For the People”).
Cristina Reina, Chief Creative Experience Officer, Droga5 NY & the Americas: “Making this film was a carefully orchestrated exercise in choreography and in-camera craft. Pulling everything off practically, with a massive cast of 25 sets of identical twins, was no small challenge. In the end, we captured the energy and fun of students’ dual lives, their constant movement between work and play—while showing how Windows 11 PCs can help keep both worlds in sync.”
